Use this guide when you are setting up a brand new AssistHive workspace for your household, family office, or organization.
What registration creates
When registration is completed successfully, AssistHive creates the following in one flow:
- A new tenant (your workspace).
- The first tenant administrator account.
- Default workspace records needed for initial use, such as standard document types.
- An initial subscription record for plan and billing state.
Open the registration page
- Open the AssistHive home page.
- Select Start free trial, Create tenant, or go directly to the registration page.
- If registration is paused, join the waitlist and wait for workspace access to be opened.
Complete the registration form
The form creates both the tenant and the first admin user.
- Tenant name: the workspace name shown throughout the app.
- Tenant slug: the unique workspace identifier used for mobile login and API login.
- First name / last name: the name of the initial administrator.
- Email: the login email for the administrator account.
- Password: the initial password for the administrator.
If you leave the tenant slug empty, the system may generate one from the tenant name. If you provide a slug manually, it must be unique.
Verify the email address
- After registration, check the admin email inbox.
- Open the verification email from AssistHive.
- Select the verification link to confirm the account.
Email verification is required before some authentication flows, including phone-based login, are fully available.
Sign in for the first time
- Open the login page.
- Enter the admin email and password you created during registration.
- After login, confirm the tenant name and tenant slug from the profile or tenant settings pages.
tenant_slug during login. Keep it documented for your team.Recommended first steps after registration
- Create the first households.
- Add household members for principals, family members, and key staff.
- Add tenant users who need login access.
- Assign household roles and per-app permissions.
- Review notification settings and workspace timezone.
- Enable two-factor authentication for the admin account.
Common registration issues
- Email already in use: email addresses are globally unique, so an existing account must be updated or removed before reuse.
- Tenant slug already taken: choose a different unique slug.
- Registration disabled: the environment is currently closed to self-service onboarding.
- Verification email not received: check spam, confirm the email address, and use resend verification if needed.
